The major components of the RF interconnection include the antenna, interconnecting coaxial cable, and Interconnection Product Solutions (iPS) such as:

• Filters - to remove out of band interference,
• Combiners and Diplexers - making it possible to increase site capacity by collocating additional BTS equipment on common coaxial infrastructure, and
• Low Noise Tower Mounted Mounted Amplifiers (TMAs)  - to compensate for excessive losses in the interconnection.
